The restaurant’s charming setting, coupled with decades of experience, has made Ta’ Frenċ the obvious choice for a wedding venue for local people for many years. Over the last few years, it has also become the wedding destination of choice for an increasing number of couples from abroad. The reasons are not hard to find; the warmth and hospitality of the Gozitan people, the island’s Mediterranean climate, the unique cultural setting in an environment where English is spoken as widely as Maltese, and the undeniable attraction of holding a reception in an establishment which has won many awards for its cooking and its wine list, including recognition by the Michelin Guide, and has been widely praised in the international as well as local press.

Ta’ Frenċ can host weddings of any size, up to 300 seated guests. The flexibility of the restaurant’s structure allows for the use of different areas for the ceremony, for champagne and canapés, for the dinner and for the after-party. The event can be held in a combination of both in-door and outdoor settings, including the tree-lined stone-flagged private garden, the beautifully-frescoed wine cellar, the elegant 20-seat private dining room and the more spacious Dining Room. A state-of-the-art all-weather structure allows guests the use of the Restaurant’s garden at any time of the year, whatever the weather.

For couples from abroad, the Ta’ Frenċ team can co-ordinate the wedding as a complete package, from airport transfers and accommodation, to flowers, cake, music, menu printing, hair-dressing and make-up, and bridal car; no detail is too small for our dedicated wedding co-ordinator, who is adept at interpreting the couple’s wishes. Arrangements can be made by the wedding team for the ceremony itself, whether religious or civil, as well as advising about the all-important legal documentation. And from the very first enquiry, it will be evident that the team is at the disposal of the bridal couple.

Menus are tailor-made, using the very finest of local and imported produce and expertly cooked and supervised by the highly experienced brigades led by Chef Joseph in the kitchen and Restaurant Manager Joseph front of house. Whilst advice on planning the wedding will be given readily at any stage, and many options presented by the Ta’ Frenċ wedding team, it is the couple whose vision is translated into the reality of a perfect, unforgettable wedding day.
