Easter Sunday lunch

Welcome to Ta’ Frenċ, a hidden gem

Ta’ Frenċ has been a haven for discerning diners in the Maltese islands for almost forty years. Internationally renowned for its exceptional food, sophisticated ambience and excellent wine cellar, the restaurant is a hidden gem just off the main road from Victoria to Marsalforn.

Once you enter the courtyard through the stone archway, balmy scents from the herb garden welcome you to this authentic, centuries-old farmhouse enjoying tranquil, picturesque country views of Xaghra, Zebbug, and the Marsalforn valley.

A summer evening might tempt you to take an aperitif or dine outdoors. Alternatively, the welcoming bar offers a comfortable setting in which to study the menu and wine list before moving to your table in the spacious, beautifully-appointed restaurant.

Having been listed in the very first Michelin on-line guide to restaurants in the Maltese islands in 2020, the management and staff are very proud that this accolade has been renewed every year since then. The listing by Michelin, the guide which is recognised the world over as the most objective, recognises the solid traditions, subtle innovations and award-winning food and wine for which Ta’ Frenċ has always been famous.

About Us

About Us

With their vision, their enthusiasm and their passionate commitment, Ino Attard and Lino Cefai created in Ta’ Frenċ a hidden gem, a haven of good food and wine, which has remained so decades later.

Despite the untimely deaths of both founders, their legacy will live on as the restaurant opens a new chapter. The new directors, Thomas Curmi and Joseph Tabone, have a long association with Ta’ Frenċ and share the same ideals as the founders. With the able assistance of Executive Chef Joseph Brincat they are determined to build on Ta’ Frenċ’s reputation and to continue to serve their clients only the very best, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
